Indeed one of my favourite artists and a very dear person, Peter Steele of Type O Negative passed away April 14th. He will live on in the music he left behind. I enjoyed the privilege of photographing TON 3 times over recent years & Peter was always extremely kind and polite… I will remember him fondly and with a smile.
Farewell Green Man.

You will forever be missed…
These are great photos Karen, as are the rest of Peter and so many of your other shots……thanks for sharing them….thank you.
I just happened to stumble across your site. Excellent pics of Type O’s last visit to Cleveland. I find myself thinking back to that night more often these days. Peter was an amazing talent. He will be forever missed.
I still can not belive he´s gone. But I hope he`s finally in peace. We will miss you my dear Pete.
P.D. Very veryyyy Good Pictures!!!
i cant accept his gone it frustrates me 2my core..
For a short time, I spent the best 2 mo of my life with Peter and we did keep in contact from time to time. I loved and love him and thats never going to change..until we meet again in the October Rust.
I saw him w/ Type O Negative at the Gay 90s in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I wonder if he died of Marfan’s Syndrome, which a friend of mine died from. He certainly fits the profile.
Abraham Lincoln suffered from it and so does the musician who is in the band Deerhunter, Bradford Cox has it.
R.I.P. He was a great presence in the scene. He will be missed.
